Tourist projects

Today's tourist development on La Palma has been shaped by our office.
At the beginning of 2000 the discussion began in professional and political circles as to what the future of La Palma's tourism could look like. It was generally clear that the three smaller islands - El Hierro, La Gomera and La Palma, are more fragile territories than the larger neighboring islands. The concept of the clear turning away from mass tourism and the promotion of individual, small plants complementary to agriculture was drafted as a legal text by Félix Rodríguez de la Cruz and passed by Parliament as Ley 6/2002.

Based on this law, the tourist zoning plan for La Palma was also drawn up in our office. In it, the areas that could basically be considered for tourist use are defined in principle. In order to achieve a balanced distribution of tourist facilities on the island, a so-called distance rule was introduced, which has many additional dependencies. Therefore, a materialization of the claim to this use can only be achieved through the approval path - or not. This completely thwarted property speculation for areas that could be used for tourism.

We would be happy to advise you on the options you have for realizing your project - be it a tourist rental license for your house, an apartment complex or a hotel:
